I began seeing Wuthering Heights like this famous picture, the Young Woman / Old Lady illusion - one image but two different figures.
In the context of this novel, I adjusted my mindset to see the Catherine / Isabella illusion.
1) I am a public auditor trained to look for fraud.
2) I imagined the characters looking only as described by Emily Brontë.
3) I am a child of parents who look similar to and come from the global regions of Heathcliff and Isabella.
4) I then figured out the pregnancy timeline and the complicated legal estate succession, compared familial personality traits, and noticed the meaning of grammar errors as well as the confusing family naming pattern.
